Without mincing words, the past one year has been an eventful one for me. I have met wonderful personalities too numerous to count in the line of duty. I seize the opportunity to convey profound appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor, Chrisland University, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola, FAS, for finding me appointable to pioneer the Public Relations Department for the University.

I cannot forget an amazing personality, erudite academic, gentleman and elderstateman, the Distinguished Professor Ayodeji Olukoju, the Pro-Chancellor, Chrisland University for being one of my silent admirers. Once in a while, he sends in WhatsApp messages that motivates, such like…”You are doing terrific job for Chrisland University”. For instance, when he heard I was exiting, this was the Pro-Chancellor’s parting shot to me: “Awwwwww! You will be greatly missed! You will always be a member of the Chrisland Family. Thank you very much. God bless.”

“Awwwwww! You will be greatly missed! You will always be a member of the Chrisland Family. Thank you very much. God bless.”

These accolades mean more to me. The thought that your little efforts speak tickles me a lot. I admit that those who are endeared to me may not really be many. In subsequent posts, I will write about some of these personalities who made my sojourn in Chrisland University worthwhile.

Let me not forget the retired immediate past Chief Judge of Ogun State, Justice Olatokunbo Olopade who until last month was an Adjunct Lecturer in the Institution. Mama who’s going to clock 70 in some months time, penned this to me via WhatsApp: “Ooooh!!! You are indeed wonderful. I’m sure Chrisland will really miss your services as you return to FUNAB. May the Almighty God always be with you and make a way for you even where there seems to be no way. God bless you real good.”

What more can I say?
