All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Kosofe constituency in Lagos, Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara, has expressed appreciation to the party leaders and members, assuring people of the area of effective representation if elected in the general election.
Ogbara, until recently a commissioner at the Lagos Internal Revenue Board, expressed the appreciation in a statement, noting that she was poised to initiate bills and motions that will enhance the socio-economic and political well-being of Lagosians and Nigerians at large.
“We still have many challenges facing our people in Kosofe constituency, in Lagos State itself, and in Nigeria as a whole.

“For instance, we need more of federal presence in form of industrial establishments through puplic-private partnership to give jobs to the unemployed youths.
“We need more social welfares schemes for widows, the aged, and the physically challenged persons, as well as enhanced and affordable medical plans, among others.
“I’m confident that our great party, the APC, will have excellent showing in the coming general elections and as we are all on the same page in terms of development agenda mapped out to boost infrastructure nationwide; therefore, our people should expect more public facilities and increased human empowerment programmes,” she assured.
Ogbara particularly listed her priorities to include fixing up jobless youths in public establishments where there are vacancies, assisting the widows and other less-privileged members of her constituency to secure loans and in some cases, federal and international grants, to set up businesses.
She also promised to legislate for health and education insurance schemes undertaken by parents for their children and themselves, in the event of fatalities.
The prospective lawmaker also promised to work closely with relevant government agencies to promote sport and other recreational activities with a view to usefully engaging the youths in their past time.
Ogbara, while urging for massive votes from the Kosofe constituents to realise her aspiration, also called for the re-election of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the election of all APC candidates at all levels, “for our people to witness more development programmes”.
