Buhari greets Fayemi at 57, says Ekiti lucky to have him


    President Muhammadu Buhari has eulogised the Chairman of Governors’ Forum (NGF) and governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, as he marks his 57th birthday.

    The President described Governor Fayemi as a good friend and an active party member and wished him many more years in the service of his community and the nation.

    President Buhari in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, said, “Ekiti is lucky to have a leader like Governor Fayemi.

    “In his last and final year as second term governor, he has brought the State back to its glory, culture and values.”

    He also sent a birthday message to a foremost political mobiliser and former Deputy National Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kemi Nelson.

    He said, “Nigeria takes pride in the many accomplishments of the women of our nation. It is our Party’s honour to have leaders such as Kemi Nelson in our midst.”

    Nelson was a Commissioner in the administration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as governor of Lagos State.
